This entry is dedicated to Aisha.

When we went to perform Umrah in 2002, we were in a lift with an Arab woman. She was so attracted to Aisha (she was 6 months then) and asked for her name.. Told her its AISHA. And she answered " A'isha? Masha Allah A'isha A'isha.." some things remains in your heart forever..

Thanks for the 6 wonderful years. You've filled our lives with joy & laughter!

Prolapse Disc

So i suffered from what they called 'Prolapse Disc' / 'Slipped Disc'. I was in an aweful pain only God knows.. couldn't even go the bathroom the first 2 days.. had accupuncture (1st time!) by a phsiotherapist from Germany. Got her to come to the house and all she did was put some needles in me. "Can you feel tze electricity?" Hell yes! but how can needles put back my vetebrae back to its place!!?? Costed me RM150!

So Mum & Ayah drove all the way to Langat and fetch makcik urut with magical hands. Costed me RM20!! Hubby said better gave that Makcik 150 than the German! Makcik said urat saraf terseliuh.. then urut again after 6th day, she finally put the vetebrae where it belongs.. after 2 hours of theraphy in the pool.. i'm back at work today. Alhamdullillah..

So had a chance to google on 'Prolapse Disc' here's something new learnt and like to share..

So now we know..

The best treatment for Prolapse Disc is to continue with normal activities far as possible. Of course it may not be possible the first few days but try to get back to your normal activity as soon as you are able.

So today first day at work, boss ajak pergi DSA Exhibition @PWTC. Managed to walk without my tongkat.. but i think i over did it.

The Day The Parents Raided The School Canteen

So, our 1st kid has been in school for 4 months now. I'm still in the maze with her daily spending money. How much to give? Is 50cents too little. Is RM1.00 too much? We packed her lunch everyday but she still insist on bringing some money to school. "Peer Pressure"? "The Joy of Spending"? u guess where she got it from..

Anyway, we've been giving her Rm1 a day. Taught her the value of RM1.00, how much things cost, and make sure you get your change! Even made her promise not to spend all RM1. Bring home some change and put in the piggy bank. It worked at first. But since i'm not around to check her balance when she comes home from school, i wouldnt know how much she puts in the piggy bank.

Untill lately she started to have a liking on crab meat. Yeah those red and white strips. Yeah i know its artificial. Yeah i know its not a healthy food. But i failed to talk to her out of it. And she said it costs RM1 for 3. Sometimes she wants to buy chocolates. 2. one for Redhuan sometimes Aisha. If Moe is nice to her, she'll get 1 for him too. Since then, the piggy bank has not been filled.

SK Assunta 1 had a 'sukaneka' last thursday.. and we got a chance to see what the canteen has to offer.

Price check: Those chocolates that cost 30sen only cost 20sen outside.

I'd say it was a worth visit to the school. Now i can create a mini menu for her and ask her what she wants to buy and give her the exact change.

And.. I have these things at home so that she can bring to school and no need for her to bring money at all.. but she just refuse to bring!! Nak jugak bawak duit

This is one of the joy and lessons of being a parent. Need to be strict with her from now on. Been doing what she says, its time for her to listen to me!

"Cannot bring money. Eat what we packed for you."

... will try on Monday.

Give a Hi-5 to Umar

I have to admit that i hadn't been paying much attention to her studies.. My confession is that, she's been in Standard One for four months now and i never once did go through her books. Not intentionally.. just had no time! ..maybe i took it for granted on the fact that she's only in Year 1.

There's a saying goes ~ Geniuses Weren't Borned ~ They're Made!

So i'll make a pledge from now on to make TIME for school revision with her on weekends. If i want to make a genius out of my kid.. this is the time! Mamma! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE UNIFORM !! (the smell smells exactly like when WE were in school.. what made that smell? sweat? the uniform texture? the dust that came from the school desk & chairs..? the dust from books? now i wonder...)

Hmm.. part of the Job Description of being Parents! Their future is in our hands..

Have A Place For Everything, And Everything Would Be In Place

My household is full of things belonging to the Fanstastic 4! Toys, notebook, crown, necklace, pencils, UNO, may it be under the table, on the drawer top, in the bathroom, the between the books on the bookshelf, on the kitchen top, on and under the TV shelf.. everywhere..!

So my bookshelf has two tiny little drawers at the bottom, which The Fantastic No 1 & No 2 has claimed for themselves. They put their cherished treasures inside there.. Thats their private place where i respect and never touch or peek. One day i had the chance to see whats inside.. surprisingly, both of them put all their little things like stickers, small toys that they got from McDonalds, mentos/polo/chewing gum (which they keep away from No 3). So they do treasure some of the things we got them.

So last weekend we bought cupboards for each of the Fantastic 3. Fantastic 4 not ready to own one yet. Since they have plenty of space in their bedroom so why not.

Here's my HandyMen at work. Daddy can be very handy when he wants to.. and Lil'Moe needs all the teachings of manhood he can get. He has always shown interest with tools, fixing things.. Hammer, ranch, screwdriver.. name all the tools, he knows it. If only Daddy would fix more things at home *wink*.

We got the cupboards from Tesco. At RM39.90 each, thought it was a good deal.. thats why we could buy 3!

So Wallah! After 3 hours of good sweat.. the 3 cupboards were successfully assembled. Red belongs to Fantastic 1, Yellow for Fantastic 2 and blue for Fantastic 3.

So the rules are:-
1) All personal belongings should be kept in respective cupboards.
2) Will get scolding from Me if i see personal belongings scattered all over the house.
3) No sticking stickers on the door (outside) but they may decorate inside.
4) Not allowed to open or take something out from other member's cupboard without permission.

Oh they're very exited with their newly owned cupboards. After we placed it in their room, and after being briefed with the rules, they started to get busy. Searching all over the house looking for their things.. No1 & No 2 started to empty the 2 tiny drawers at the bottom of the bookshelf and transferred it into their cupboards. Then suddenly the bedroom door was locked. We left them alone, a moment later, they excitedly showed us inside of of their cupboard door. Both of them decorated it with their own art work, using crayons and paper and stick em inside the door with 'blue-tack' (will upload the pics) . They must have gotten the idea from High School Musical kids with their lockers.

Poor No 3.. called daddy in feeling upset. Opened each of Kakak's door and compared to his. And said, 'Look D, look at Kakak's.. mine is empty..'. There were only 1 Ferrari car in each door.. Ferrari cars i got him from Shell were his latest toys.. So Daddy said tomorrow we go look for all your things and keep inside here..

So i think these cupboards would do them a lot of good. Mine too.. how i hate messy house. This step will teach them a sense of belonging and responsibility. We'll try and respect what they put inside, give them the privacy.. but sometimes kena lah buat spotcheck!

So I've always live by this rule.. Have a place for everything and everything would be in place..
