James Bond Quantum of Solace

Other than too much of a car chase, foot chase, boat chase & air-plane chase..

Daniel Craig is the Man..!!! (droooling..)

Love the phone Sony Ericsson C902

The C902 Cyber-shot™ phone is used throughout the film by James Bond to capture evidence and assist the agent on his mission. The 5MP camera, with a unique slide-out lens cover, illuminated touch icons providing quick and easy access to camera options, Face detection, Photo flash and Auto focus enables James Bond to send high resolution shots back to MI6 for quick recognition of his enemies. The phone also offers BestPic™ which allows users to take nine pictures of a moving object simultaneously and choose the best shot to use, plus Picture blogging for uploading photos to blogsites and PictBridge for printing direct to a printer, without the need for a PC or laptop.

The phone will be pre-loaded with a spy-style games. In addition, the full colour trailer of the film, behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars and exclusive content such as wallpapers and screen savers will be available on the phone and the memory card.

Kids say the darnest things - Part II

Ummi : Arabic word for Mother.
Wallid/ Wallidun: Arabic word for Uncle.
That's what the kids call my Sister & bro-in-Law.

My sister called on saturday from the wholly land of Madinah to update us on their Haj trip. Alhamdullillah she managed to solat di Raudhah 2 times.. they're leaving for Mekkah that very evening for their Umrah, and to wait for Hari Wukuf in 2 weeks.

As usual i will update the rest of the family including my daughter Medina. She has good knowledge of Madinah (where she was named after) and the history of Nabi Muhammad saw, A'isha his wife, and Umar Al-Khattab his best friend.. and how her siblings got their names from and how they are related with each other.

Later that day, i heard her talking to her cousin Redhuan, 6 yrs old.

Medina: Wan you tahu tak Ummi & Walid kat mana skarang? smalam dia kat Madinah, hari ni you tahu dia org kat mana?

Redhuan: Dia orang kat Redhuan?

something happened to me this morning which never happened before in my 14 years of refueling the car..

got in the car this morning fuel tank indicated EMPTY! normal for a Monday morning..

stopped by Shell, where i always get my petrol and its the only station that i can collect Bonus Link points.. sucker right.. anyway, that's not the point. So i paid RM50 to get a full tank.. when the petrol was 2.70 p/ltr, RM50 doesn't go very far. Am i missing out on the fuel market cos the last time i checked, petrol now cost rm2.15, correct?

ok, when you are refueling, while holding the nozzle in one hand, where do you usually look? No 1 answer usually the meter counter right? 2nd probably the car next to you (or could be the hot looking driver..) 3rd? do you ever look at the nozzle? anyway, my story today is that my tank was overflowed with petrol..!!! it was pouring out from the tank.. kena kasut sikit. Tapi tengok meter it was still RM48++

i don't usually put the clip and let it fill itself. got an email when the petrol was rm2.70 saying that you'll get more petrol if you fill it slowly and not putting the clip on the nozzle.. been practising that since. tunggu lama tunggulah..asalkan dapat lebih.. (there's kiasu attitude in all of us right..).

back to my story.. panicked strike.. oh no!! there's petrol on my car flowing down to the wheels.. will it get on fire? i know any form of sparks will trigger it. Maklumlah..org perempuan..mana tahu sangat bab keta ni. but i got the attendant to pour water over it. will it work?

thanks to my friend who asked her 'Guys'.. the car won't get on fire because the minyak cepat kering.. they better be right! cos if the car do get on fire while i'm in it, this would be my last testimonial.. and you can tell my family what happened to me earlier this morning.

A Parent's Proud Moment - Part II

What could be a prouder moment for both my parents..

Last night her eldest child and son-in-law left for the Holy Land to perform their Haj.
My sister, Shahdee bte Ahmad 37 and husband Abg Anis Yusal Yusoff left for Madinah Al Munawarrah on flight KT42, they're one of those chosen ones to be the guest of the Almighty.

My Kak Long (known as Non) is one fantastic lady, a MBA holder and the Deputy GM with Propel and of course Abg Anis, currently pursuing his Phd, is one fantastic guy..!! they are idols in our family.. they are both living example of "Soul-Mates".

She's the one we turned to when we have problems.
She's the shoulder we cry on when we're feeling down.
She's the cement that glues us all together.
She has the solution to most of our problems.
She's the most successful.
She's the most kind, loving intelligent person.
She's the most generous.
She's my Sister
.. and we're missing her already ; (

All of us are very proud of both of you Kak & Abg Anis. We pray for your safe journey, health and Haji yang Mambrur..

~ Semoga Allah swt mamakbulkan semua Doa-Doa mereka. Amin. ~

'A Parent's Proud Moment'

"it is best not to mention 'careless mistakes' to children. they believe they have done their best.

when they are reminded of their carelessness, they'll feel bad.

i know i did. every single exam... only they didnt know.

enouragement is built upon the word 'courage'. careless... well, just happens to destroy courage." - Saudara Teddy

saudara teddy was right. i should not have blamed my kid for her careless mistakes. don't know what she's feeling or thinking inside by my comments on her being careless. Cuma mengingatkan kesalahan-kesalahan yang sering dibuat semasa exam dan supaya tidak mengulanginya lagi.

same goes to me at work. after a hard day preparing reports..which i put my best in it.. and thought i'll get some compliments from it, only to be exhorted when they point out a mistake. sedih.

well, a lesson learned.

today i'd like to share 'A Parent's Proud Moment' with all of you.

Fantastic Medina scored 3rd place in her class. We'll be attending the price giving ceremony tomorrow morning at 8.00am.

Her final report:

Bahasa Arab: 100%
Maths: 99%
English: 96%
Science: 96%
Bahasa Malaysia Penulisan: 96%
Pendidikan Jasmani: 94%
Pendidikan Agama: 92%
Bahasa Malaysia Pemahaman: 88%

I refer back to my old entry titled "It's a test for me too..!", and i'm giving myself a pat on the back :D (ehem ehem.. siapa lagi nak puji kalau tak sendiri )

and to my husband who can't stand me being stress-out during the exam season.. tak sia-sia kan?

ni baru Std One.. we have a looooooong way to go babe!
