woot woot...!!

ALHAMDULILLAH. Alhamdulillah.. Alhamdulillah..

Just received an email from the International Islamic Publishing House (IIPH) Editor a minute ago regarding my post as their Malay Translator. I MADE IT!! and the most beautiful part is that i'll be translating Amira Ayad's THE TRUE SECRET. MashaAllah Ya Rahman Ya Rahim. He is Great!

Will be anxiously waiting for Mr Postman these next few days for the hard copy of the book and the Contract!!

Alhamdulillah..

i follow Amira Ayad.

My new best friend. Amira Ayad. I helped translate 3 chapters of her book 'Healing Body & Soul' for a friend and I believed that God made the book made its way into my hands.

I took a test for the International Islamic Publishing House for a translator post and they gave me a chapter from her 2nd book 'The True Secret'. Again, it is life changing. That book is not out in Malaysia yet. Even 'Healing Body & Soul' pun susah nak cari. MPH all sold out. Popular don't carry it. Haven't tried Kinokuniya yet.. bercinta nak ke KLCC tu.

Looked her up on facebook and i introduced myself to her, we're now friends ;D

I love all her writings - her blog, her books. She's a Phd holder, a Nutritionist and she made me view my life, the purpose of my life a whole new way, how different is our body and soul. She's like my therapist, although its a one way communication between me and her mostly from her writings. She's a Godsent who is guiding me to a better path of life, and heal my body and soul.

Islam is concerned with the wellbeing of the whole person—emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally. This wellbeing is necessary for the person to participate fully in life, fulfilling his or her duty towards Allah and towards society. ~ Amira Ayad

This book is your personal journey towards unlocking your full potentials and Reaching success, happiness, and wellbeing. It assists you in Finding Your Path and achieving your goals and deeply held dreams, in this life and the Next, in shaa Allah.

May Allah swt reward you with goodness Amira..

Mermaids don't exist!

 Source: Nicole Torbet.

A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"

The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:

"Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness.

They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia.

They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires.

Mermaids do not exist.

But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish?
They would have no sex life and could not bear children.
Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad.
And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side?

Without a doubt, I'd rather be a whale.

At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends.

We women, we gain weight because we accumulate so much wisdom and knowledge that there isn't enough space in our heads, and it spreads all over our bodies.
We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated.
Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: "How amazing am I ?! "

The Making of a Mother -iluvislam.com

By the time the Lord made mothers, He was into the sixth day working overtime. An Angel appeared and said "Why are you spending so much time on this one?"

And the Lord answered and said, "Have you read the spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not elastic; have 200 movable parts, all replaceable; run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lap that can hold three children at one time and that disappears when she stands up; have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart; and have six pairs of hands."

The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one. "Six pairs of hands! No way!" said the Angel.
The Lord replied, "Oh, it's not the hands that are the problem. It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have!"

"And that's on the standard model?" the Angel asked.

The Lord nodded in agreement, "Yep, one pair of eyes are to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head are to see what she needs to know even though no one thinks she can. And the third pair are here in the front of her head. They are for looking at an errant child and saying that she understands and loves him or her without even saying a single word."

The Angel tried to stop the Lord "This is too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish."
"But I can't!" The Lord protested, "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand in the shower."

The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, "But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?" asked the Angel.

The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason, and negotiate."

The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like You have a leak with this model. I told You that You were trying to put too much into this one."

"That's not a leak." the Lord objected. "That's a tear!"

"What's the tear for?" the Angel asked.

The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride."

The Angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything for this one. You even created the tear!"

The Lord looked at the Angel and smiled and said, "I'm afraid you are wrong again. I created the woman, but she created the tear!"
