The latest tender was not for the Govt, but for a higher learning centre. To supply a Marine Diesel Engine Simulator for their Marine Engineering Technology Faculty. Sounds impressive doesn't it?
My Chairman always says that we must treat the Tender Documents as a "Bible", follow exactly what it says. Even if it doesn't make sense. There must not be any 'flaw' in our submission cause they'll use it to disqualify us. He was speaking from experience. He was a member of a Tender Board when he was serving in the Navy.
He was right. We got some inside story on the Tender that we won, that our price was not the lowest. But because their tender document were not complete and ours was, we won the tender.
My chairman said the documents that we submitted were Flawless. We stayed up till 6 am the day before submission closing date -- to make it perfect. Alhamdulillah, all hard work pays up.
So we started compiling this Diesel Engine tender last saturday. From 4pm - 4am. (Closing date Monday 12pm). Continued at 10am the next day till 3pm.
The requirements on this tender is different compared to Govt Tenders. So many attachments required. And as usual some of the instructions on submission doesn't make sense. But we just adhered to it. At 3.oopm it was officially completed with page numbering. (takut ada org sabotaj and take out some of the pages) it happened before according to my Chairman.
The final touch by our Chairman & sedikit bacaan Doa.
Ready to be sent for binding.
The requirements: 1 master document, commercial & technical in Envelope 1.
4 copies of Technical Specification in Envelope 2 & no company identity to be mentioned.

Insya'allah dengan berkat dan izin Allah, berjayalah hendaknya.
Did i mentioned this contract is worth 2.5mil? Their terms in awarding this contract does not base on the cheapest price. Its actually based on the product. Not like Govt tenders.
Did i also mention that our Chairman is also The Chairman for InMarEST - Institute of Marine Engineers Science & Technology of Malaysia? Marine engines are his Thing!
So lets hope and pray...
